Where it all began…

So before I tell you about Tulia let’s go back to how it all began…

Tulia became this wild idea that I vaguely envisioned about 3 years ago whilst on a walk with Kerry Glen, while working at Karisia camel walking safaris, which is based in a very rural but beautiful area in East Laikipia, Kenya.

I began to start taking small steps towards building this dream with the help of Kerry and Jamie, her husband.

This combination of Safari and Adventure brings 2 of my passions in life together – high altitude mountaineering/climbing and conservation.

This combination is a unique experience in itself however this is not just about the experience people will receive but also an opportunity for people to develop their mindsets and personal growth.

This Safari is called Tulia.

The word ‘Tulia’ means to be at peace or calmed.

The reason I named this trip ‘Tulia’ is because I believe this trip will allow people to step away from their ‘norm’ and instead give them a new perspective of who we are as individuals, testing our limits and opening our eyes to different perspectives, as we go through environments that will unravel the complexity of people’s minds and find a sense of ‘calm’ as one’s focus begins to narrow to the here and now of the journey.

It will also educate people about the effect of climate change and the ability to see a deep history of culture and wildlife.
